Abstract

This session provides a perspective of the current state of geospatial development and maturity in various organizations, and provides an approach for harnessing the value of geospatial and non-spatial information that is tucked away, usually in different departments. The session addresses back office areas of data security, data and application integration and a view into the technologies and solutions available today Thus, the instantaneous fusion of various disparate databases that are a result of deploying disparate software applications over time can be translated into a benefit for generating real-time analysis and decision support. In turn, this creates a paradigm shift in how we may view existing data and applications and their value to an enterprise. This ability to “use what exists”, in real-time, has the potential to exponentially increase an organization’s ability and speed to access, analyze, plan, allocate and monitor resources.

that can be utilized to optimize the value of an organization’s multiple sources of information, while providing easily configured and highly usable web applications on the front end.
