Abstract
Both Public and civilian agencies recognize security issues are of national concern. The relevant agencies
dealing with safety, security and enforcement have long been carrying out various data gathering to
capture relevant information for their internal analysis. The intelligence builds for the security applications
are usually unique to the operations of these agencies. Above all this uniqueness lays the fundamental
requisite – the data. Geospatial intelligence demands for timely, relevant and accurate data to
ensure a sound knowledge base for planning, decision-making and operational use. Although most of the
operations and analysis deploy the common geospatial analysis, their parameters, criteria and data
component are not publicised neither it is made known to the public to ensue that there are no attempt
to incapacitate security. This paper does not cover the operation and analysis components of
Geointelligence. It shall deal with data preparation for Geointelligence purposes based on several works
carried out, especially in providing them with tailored data specific to their mission. Also it will address
the issues of integration of data from heterogeneous sources
