Abstract :
Visualizing 2D Orthophotos in 3D Digital orthophotos have become an increasingly important tool for municipalities, oil & gas companies, forestry companies, and other agencies. There has been a growing need to view the urban or natural resource landscape in 3D utilising the orthophotos, and enhancing them with 3D elements, such as pipelines, buildings and bridges. Both static 3D and 3D fly-throughs are needed by these clients. We will discuss how to take your 2D data and convert it into 3D views and fly-throughs, using examples from transportation, recreation and real estate
