The presentation will provide an insight in to the developments in the formation of
the South African space agency. It will include the components of the space agency
and South Africa’s space ambitions within the context of the DST ten year plan for
South Africa (2008-2018). It will include an overview of South Africa’s participation in
the Group on Earth Observation and the Committee on Earth Observation Satellites
(CEOS)
