ABSTRACT
This work introduces a new approach for coastal water front detection by using Radarsat-1 SAR data. Several algorithms have integrated together to produce an automatic detection tool. This consists of Lee algorithm. Enhance Lee, snake contour algorithms. The result shows that automatic detection tool is able to discriminate between coastal water front from surrounding water areas. The coastal water front is located near the coastal water over approximately 20m water depth and approximately 3 km length. The spectra density of coastal water front is approximately 20 dB.
