Data Analysis and Interpretation of Results
Part 1: Analysis of responses to each question.
In this section, responses to every question are analyzed. Initially, the data found is described and then the interpretation from the given data follows. The first question asked how long your company has been using GPS and GPS-related equipment
As can be seen from the figure above, analysis of responses indicates that 82% of the companies have used GPS-related equipment for less than 5 years, while 8% of the companies have been using GPS for more than 10 years. These responses show that companies have started slowly realizing the use of GPS for different projects. The above results suggest that GPS technology is slowly making its mark in Indian companies.
Responses to the question: To what extent is your companies working in alliances with other companies are shown below
The above graph indicates that 47% of the companies (those responding 1and 2) work to a lesser extent in alliances with other companies, while 20% of the companies are working to a great extent in alliance with other companies. Most of these companies seem to be new entrepreneurs in the field of GPS technology. This suggests that government does not encourage alliances among the companies in the form of incentives and by reducing import duties on GPS equipments.
