3.4 Methodology
The methodology adopted in this study to estimate NPS pollution load from Agricultural
land in Nagpur District includes Digital Image processing (DIP) of IRS P6 LISS
III image and GIS based analysis of pollution load generated. Survey of India
topographical maps on 1:250000 were used to prepare boundary map of Nagpur district
and RS data of IRS-P6 satellite as mentioned earlier was used to classify the
land use.
